Our Location
Goxhill is a hamlet situated close to Hornsea on the East Yorkshire coast and is only 10 miles from the historic market town of Beverley. Our 7 acre smallholding is accessed by single-track lanes and is surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland. It is a 5 minute drive to Hornsea, our closest town, and a similar drive to the coast.

For Walkers
There are a multitude of footpaths and bridleways right on our doorstep, including the Transpennine Trail which links the West to the East coast. Our location is a paradise for walkers and bird-watchers, with many circular walks of differing length which offer superb bird and wildlife watching opportunities. A 30 minute walk could take you to Hornsea town, Mappleton beach, Hornsea Mere or Wassand Hall and its beautiful gardens.

For Cyclists
We are located very close to the Transpennine Trail which is part of the National Cycle Network (Route62) and links the East to the West coast. An easy 15 minute cycle ride takes you to Hornsea, Hornsea Mere or the beach. Our quiet location and access to farm tracks means there is ample opportunity for safe family cycling.
Road cyclists can be inspired by the Tour de Yorkshire; there are many minor road and lanes to create a vast array of circular routes. For mountain bikers, local bridlepaths and farmers’ tracks offer good endurance training with idyllic views. If you want the challenge of hills, Dalby Forest is only a 45 minute drive away with its World Cup Mountain Bike routes.

We have an enviable location, having immediate access to many bridlepaths and minor roads – right from our gate! There are many circular routes of differing lengths which could take you through woodland, stubblefields, fields and tracks to the beach for a good gallop. Advice on routes and local events is available. Being enthusiastic equestrians ourselves and can also advise you of superb facilities across all disciplines no more than an hour’s drive away.

Established in 1898 and set in secluded parkland, the picturesque course at Hornsea Golf Club has a reputation for being one of Yorkshire's finest.
With visitor tee bookings available and a restaurant on site, its definitely worth a stop if you're an avid golfer.

There’s so much to do in our local area: a walk to Hornsea and a stroll on the beach; a trip to Mr Moos award-winning ice-cream parlour; rowing on Hornsea Mere; a visit to Honeysuckle Farm. Within an hour’s drive or less you can discover what Hull, City of Culture in 2018, has to offer: “The Deep”, the Maritime Museum and its other free heritage museums.
Beverley offers its twice-weekly markets, good bars and restaurants and of course its famous Racecourse. We have several Michelin-starred restaurants within a 40 minute drive: The Pipe and Glass at South Dalton, The Wellington Inn at Lund and the Beverley Westwood are our favourites.
For wildlife enthusiasts Hornsea Mere has SSSI status and is a great place for birdwatching. Further afield, Bempton Cliffs (30 minutes by car) offers the spectacle of different species of nesting birds during May and June, including puffins and gannets. Spurn Point is a unique place, renowned for sightings of seals and a whole host of other wildlife.
