Bring Your Dog
We welcome well-behaved dogs but this must be arranged when you book your stay with us. All dogs must be under strict control at all times to ensure the safety of other guests, people and livestock. There are miles of footpaths directly from our gate to give your dogs plenty of exercise. A wash-off facility for muddy paws is available.

Bring Your Horse
As horse owners ourselves, we have been lucky to have taken our horses with us on several holidays. Horse riding is a fabulous way of exploring new places and is as refreshing for the horses as it is for the riders! Advice regarding our favourite hacks, local equestrian facilities and local events is all part of the service!

Our Animals
We love our animals and have a variety: horses, mini shetland ponies, pygmy goats, Hebridean sheep, chickens, 3 young alpacas, our 2 friendly dogs plus a few barn cats. Most of these are handled regularly and are super-friendly: they will give you a warm welcome.
Some of our animals will be grazing in the fields adjacent to the meadow and you can relax as you watch them graze. Listen out for the alpacas humming to each other as they go about their day. Our pygmy goats love human interaction and cuddles; the ponies love being groomed and pampered; you can collect our chicken’s eggs for your breakfast! See our Animal Experiences section for details of the interactive, fun and educational sessions we offer.

Local Wildlife
Bring your binoculars and enjoy the wildlife! In our immediate area there are frequent sightings of barn owls, woodpeckers, deer, buzzards, kestrels, sparrowhawks, foxes, badgers and hares along with a large variety of garden and meadow birds. It’s common to see barn owls hunting over our local fields.
